Hadad youth have much in mind in recent days: homework, tests for admission to college, party weekends ... And parents who believe the planet will begin the process of destruction Saturday.
The three teens have long tried to understand their changing world, that began to change dramatically two years ago when his mother, Abby Hadad Carson, left his job as a nurse to "ring the bell"on mission trips with her husband, Robert , by distributing leaflets.
This past weekend the whole family, who lives in Connecticut, traveled to New York. The parents reluctantly took his reluctant children to a show in Manhattan in a final effort to inform the population that starts May 21 end of the world.
"My mother told me directly that I will not enter heaven. At first it was too unpleasant, but that's what she thinks, " says Grace Haddad, 16, told The New York Times.
Thousands of people in United States have spent the last few days taking to the streets and saying goodbye to their loved ones before Judgement day awaiting adbucidos to heaven in a process known as "the rapture. " The disbelievers, they say, will remain on earth to die with her over the next five months.
Although among the general public are seen as a harmless minority group, more extreme shocks occur in their own families, especially those whose main concern this weekend will be perhaps the climate and if you start or end of the world.
Kino Douglas, 31, says that lately has been difficult to live with his heramanos Stacey, 33, for "not talk about something else. "
"If I say 'Hey, what do we do this summer? " She begins to say "The world is going to end, why are you making plans for summer 'and then they all bother, "he says.
Stacey and many others came to this position through the prophecies of Harold Camping, a civil engineer who became a biblical prophet and predicted that the May 21, 2011 would be the Day of Judgement.
That day, which was reached by calculations based on the Bible that say the world will end exactly 7000 years after the great flood of Noah, believers say will be transported to heaven while the rest of the planet is ravaged by a major earthquake. Non-believers will remain on earth to live five months of plagues, earthquakes, wars and many other torments before the total destruction in the month of October.
Gary Daniels, 27, will this Saturday sitting in front of the TV waiting for the rapture occurs. His family has come to respect their beliefs, but not shared. "I know I do not see them again, but they are confident they will see me later, and that's what makes me very sad. At this moment they have no idea that this overwhelming thing will happen, " he says.
While Mrs. Haddad Carson has quit her job, her husband still works as an engineer at the Energy Commission of the United States. However, their children fear that her family did not have enough money to send them to college. Obviously, they believe the world will follow, and like many other young men his age, the actions of their parents to shame, but his case is a little more extreme by the media attention.
"People see my family and think I am like them, so I keep my friends as far as possible from them, " argues Joseph, 14.
For its part, Ms. Haddad said: "I have mixed feelings. On the one hand I'm excited the Lord's return, but I'm afraid that my children stay on earth. But hey, you have to accept the will of God" concludes.
